Tee Ball (Ages 4-6)
Our Tee Ball program is a non-competitive program focused on fun, fitness, and fundamentals where players are first introduced to the basics of baseball. In accordance with Little League® guidelines, we strive to provide an experience focused on teaching the fundamentals of the game in a fun environment while incorporating a high level of physical activity. As players progress in their skills, coaches will begin “pitching” to players, typically by tossing the ball underhand.
Teams will typically practice once a week for 45-60 minutes and will have one game per week on Saturday mornings.
Rookies (CAPS) (Ages 6-8)
Our Rookies program is the step up from Tee Ball. This is also a non-competitive program that continues to focus on fun, safety, and developing the skills of players ages 6 to 8. In this program, players will either hit off a pitching machine or coach pitching to the players.
Teams will practice once or twice a week for 60-90 minutes and will have one or two games per week. Games are predominantly on Saturdays but some games will be held throughout the week.
Minors (Ages 8-10)
Our Minors program is our first competitive program, but is still focused on fun and developing the skills of players ages 8-10. For the first time, players hit off player pitchers. At the end of the season, the regular season, the Mid City regular season champion team will play in the District 33 Tournament of Champions. An All-Star team is also selected to represent Mid City LL at the in the Little League All-Star tournament.
Teams will typically practice twice per week for 1-2 hours and play two games per week, one on Saturday and one during the week.
Majors (Ages 10-12)
Our Majors program is similar to our Minors program, but is designated for older and more experienced players ages 10-12. Like the Minors program, players hit off player pitchers. At the end of the season, the regular season, the Mid City regular season champion team will play in the District 33 Tournament of Champions. An All-Star team is also selected to represent Mid City LL at the in the Little League All-Star tournament.
Teams will typically practice twice per week for 1-2 hours and play two games per week, one on Saturday and one during the week. Teams may also participate in tournaments during the season.
Juniors (Ages 12-14)
Our Juniors League Baseball Division is a program for players ages 12-14. For the first time, players play on a conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches. At the end of the season, the regular season, the Mid City regular season champion team will play in the District 33 Tournament of Champions. An All-Star team is also selected to represent Mid City LL at the in the Little League All-Star tournament.
Teams will typically practice twice per week for 1-2 hours and play two games per week, one on Saturday and one during the week. Teams may also participate in tournaments during the season.
